Now a days we have memory cards up to 512 GB that can store HD photos, 4K videos, and work smoothly without any error. With all these features one limitation of SD card is storage. Even if we format the SD card, there is a chance that files are still present in it. So, before sharing, one should permanently delete data from the memory card. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Memory card used in smartphone often contains personal data\nlike photos of an important event, messages, contacts, emails and if somehow\nthe SD card goes out of your reach there are chances of identity theft, someone\ncould use the photos for illegal purposes, and get contacts that may result in\nfinancial frauds. So, it is utmost necessary to completely wipe out the data\nfrom memory card, but how to do it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a free method by which data stored in memory card\ncan be deleted permanently, and that is SDelete command. Yes, so before giving\nyour memory card to someone else make sure that files are completely deleted.\nThere are chances of data recovery even after it is formatted, so use SDELETE\nand wipe out all the stored media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pre-requisites<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>First Delete All the items from memory card<\/li><li>Format SD card via PC or Phone<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Delete Memory Card\nwith SDelete Command<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Remove the Formatted Memory Card from the Phone<\/li><li>Now, use a card\/ reader or adapter to connect\nmemory card with PC<\/li><li>Download the SDelete.exe tool from Microsoft\nwebsite or you can simply google it<\/li><li>Remember, the memory card will be shown as drive\nvolume in File Explorer<\/li><li>Now go to Start and type CMD<\/li><li>When command prompt icon appear, right click on\nit and select \u2018Run As Administrator\u2019<\/li><li>Note down the drive letter of memory card\nassuming it as D:<\/li><li>Type command in CMD window as <strong>sdelete \u2013s \u2013p 2 D:<\/strong><\/li><li>Press Enter and the process will start<\/li><li>Here D: is the memory card letter 2 is the\nnumber of passes that tool will execute, it can be increased as required.<\/li><li>Now the data is completely deleted and you can\ngive it to another person without any worry.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSo, this is the free method by which you can\npermanently delete the items from memory card. \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SD Cards or commonly referred to as memory cards are commonly used by smartphone users to expand the memory limit of the device.
