It gives access to users to use PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, and other applications across various devices. As it has so much data, it is necessary to take backup. Office 365 mailbox can be backed up in PST format. This also acts as a conversion method from Office 365 to PST. If needed, the file can be used by MS Outlook.<\/p>\n<p>A free method to backup Office 365 is using the inbuilt eDiscovery manager\/ tool. This facilitates Administrators to take a backup of office 365 and save the data in PST format. If you are the Administrator or have Administrator rights then follow the steps for Office 365 mailbox backup.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/secure.2checkout.com\/order\/checkout.php?PRODS=6138450&amp;QTY=1&amp;AFFILIATE=110194&amp;CART=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener sponsored\" data-wplink-edit=\"true\"><strong>Download Kernel for Office 365 Backup &amp; Restore<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-18\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filerepairtools.com\/tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/download.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"222\" height=\"60\" \/><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Using eDiscovery Tool to Move Office 365 to PST <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Log in to your Office 365 account and from the apps available click on Admin Center<\/li>\n<li>The Office 365 Admin dashboard will open, now expand the \u2018Report Menu\u2019 and click on \u2018Security and Compliance\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1569\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filerepairtools.com\/tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/ediscovery-office-365-backup.png\" alt=\"ediscovery office 365 backup\" width=\"343\" height=\"657\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You will see a Reports Dashboard link in a green color strip, click on it<\/li>\n<li>A new screen will open, click on \u2018Permissions\u2019 in the left pane, and then a list of options will appear<\/li>\n<li>Select the eDiscovery Manager to backup Office 365 mailboxes<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u2018Edit role group\u2019 tab and then and choose the eDiscovery Manager to add to the group.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1568\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filerepairtools.com\/tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/ediscovery-tool-office-365-to-pst.png\" alt=\"ediscovery tool office 365 to pst\" width=\"1357\" height=\"609\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Here, you need to create a new Manager, Click on \u2018Choose eDiscovery Manager\u2019 and then \u2018Add\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1567\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filerepairtools.com\/tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/ediscovery-manager.png\" alt=\"ediscovery manager\" width=\"601\" height=\"322\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The list of accounts available in Office 365 will appear, select the account for which you want to take backup and click on \u2018Add\u2019 button<\/li>\n<li>In the next two windows click on \u2018Done\u2019 and then \u2018Save\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1566\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filerepairtools.com\/tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/add-account-to-ediscovery-manager.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"601\" height=\"321\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Now expand the \u2018Search and Investigation tab\u2019 and click on \u2018Content Search\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Click on the + icon and search the content by clicking on \u2018New Search\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Search content and then select options where to find, you can choose the option \u2018Search Anywhere\u2019, or if the location is known then use the \u2018custom location selection\u2019.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1565\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filerepairtools.com\/tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/office-365-backup-content-search-ediscovery.png\" alt=\"office 365 backup content search ediscovery\" width=\"645\" height=\"595\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Now type the query content and then it will display the items<\/li>\n<li>Select the option generally \u2018Mailbox Office 365 Migration\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Select the mailbox and then click on \u2018Start Export\u2019 in the right pane<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1564\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filerepairtools.com\/tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/ediscovery-start-export-to-pst.png\" alt=\"ediscovery start export to pst\" width=\"650\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Now specify the export option.
