But with Lotus Notes it required extra permissions. This facilitates users to access lotus notes and check emails from home. So, if you need to send mail and the system is not available, you can type the address in the browser and send\/ receive emails.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Steps_to_Enable_Lotus_Notes_iNotes_on_Web\"><\/span><strong>Steps to Enable Lotus Notes (iNotes) on Web<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>First and the foremost step is to ask the Domino Administrator to make your NSF file available for web browsing if the organization permits.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open the Domino Server and go to Files<\/li>\n<li>Now select File&gt;&gt; Application &gt;&gt; New<\/li>\n<li>Select the server as domino server and name it as domcfg<\/li>\n<li>Now go to \u2018Specify Template for new application\u2019 server and then Select your domino server<\/li>\n<li>Click on Show Advanced templates<\/li>\n<li>Select \u2018Domino Web Server Configuration\u2019 as Template<\/li>\n<li>Click OK and domcfg- Sign in form mappings will appear<\/li>\n<li>Click on ADD Mapping, select target database as iwaredir.nsf and target form as dwaLoginForm<\/li>\n<li>Save and close the window<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2948\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filerepairtools.com\/tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/domino-web-login.png\" alt=\"Domino Web Login\" width=\"700\" height=\"484\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Create_IWAREDIR_to_Access_Mails_on_Web\"><\/span><strong>Create IWAREDIR to Access Mails on Web<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to Files, Application and From Server select Domino Server<\/li>\n<li>Name this as iwaredir and specify the template for new application<\/li>\n<li>Next, click on \u2018Show Advance Templates\u2019<\/li>\n<li>In Template select the \u2018IBM Lotus iNotes Redirect\u2019, click OK<\/li>\n<li>The IBM Lotus iNotes Redirect will appear, customize it as per requirement and then exit window<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2950 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filerepairtools.com\/tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/notes-login.png\" alt=\"Notes Login\" width=\"700\" height=\"494\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Now_Redirect_IWAREDIRNSF_to_Default_Web_Browser\"><\/span><strong>Now Redirect IWAREDIR.NSF to Default Web Browser<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Now go to Domino Administrator Configuration tab<\/li>\n<li>Follow the path Server Document&gt;&gt; Current Server Document&gt;&gt; Internet Protocol&gt;&gt; HTTP tab<\/li>\n<li>Select mapping and type URL to NSF file<\/li>\n<li>Go to Domino Web Engine tab and in-session authentication select single server<\/li>\n<li>Click on save and close the window<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2951\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filerepairtools.com\/tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/notes-redirect.png\" alt=\"notes redirect\" width=\"700\" height=\"234\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Accessing_Lotus_Notes_on_Web\"><\/span><strong>Accessing Lotus Notes on Web<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Once the Domino Administrator has set permissions to access mail file on the web, you can check mails<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open the Web-browser<\/li>\n<li>In the address bar type the URL to your mail file (www.companyname.com\/mail\/abc.nsf) e.g. lotusnotes.com\/mail\/myfile.nsf<\/li>\n<li>Enter your username and password<\/li>\n<li>Now click on login and your Lotus Notes account will open<\/li>\n<li>In this way, you can easily access the Lotus Notes account on the web-browser.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Lotus Notes is not the same as Outlook as it can be accessed via Outlook.com only, Lotus notes have company web addresses and then it directs you to the user account.
