MS Outlook features help users to manage e-mail effectively and to change the outlook default mail delivery location. In this way the user knows where the e-mail message are stored. Users can keep track of e-mails as per the requirement. Thus changing the Default Mail delivery location prevents errors in Outlook application too.<\/p>\n<p>It has been known that the large size of Outlook data files is always found to be cause of error in Outlook. It can&nbsp; either be corrupt e-mail file or any items in outlook folder. Proper management of e-mail by changing the MS Outlook Default mail delivery location resolves all these issues. There are two prospects in which the process can be carried out.<\/p>\n<p>Change Outlook Default Mail Delivery Location when Outlook is not running and<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Change Mail delivery location when Outlook is running<\/li>\n<li>Check out the steps for each process as given<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Change Default Delivery Location When Outlook is Not Running<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to Start and Click on Control Panel tab<\/li>\n<li>Now the Control Panel window will open, select view as Small Icons<\/li>\n<li>Click on the Mail icon on the screen<\/li>\n<li>A new box will prompt-up, click on the button Data Files<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1017\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filerepairtools.com\/tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/change-outlook-default-file-location.png\" alt=\"change outlook default file location\" width=\"439\" height=\"285\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Now select the account for which you want to change the mail delivery location<\/li>\n<li>Once selected click on Add button<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1016\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filerepairtools.com\/tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/select-pst-file-to-move.png\" alt=\"select pst file to move\" width=\"500\" height=\"405\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select the data file to use in Outlook and click OK<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1015\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filerepairtools.com\/tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/select-outlook-default-mail-file.png\" alt=\"select outlook default mail file\" width=\"500\" height=\"267\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The file will be listed in the \u2018Data Files\u2019 window in Outlook<\/li>\n<li>Select this file and click on \u2018Set as Default\u2019 and click on Close<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1014\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filerepairtools.com\/tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/outlook-2016-default-e-mail-file.png\" alt=\"outlook 2016 default e-mail file\" width=\"500\" height=\"405\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Now exit the Outlook application and restart Outlook<\/li>\n<li>The Outlook default delivery location will be changed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Change Location if Outlook is Running<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The default mail delivery location can be changed if Outlook is running by following steps<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open and login to Outlook desktop application<\/li>\n<li>Click on File&gt;&gt; Info and move to Account Settings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1013\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filerepairtools.com\/tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/change-outlook-mail-storage-location.png\" alt=\"change outlook mail storage location\" width=\"500\" height=\"356\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click on Account Settings option again<\/li>\n<li>The same Account settings box will open to modify changes<\/li>\n<li>Click on the Data Files tab and then select the pst file required to change mail location<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1012\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filerepairtools.com\/tips\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/automatically-select-default-mail-delivery-location.png\" alt=\"automatically select default mail delivery location\" width=\"500\" height=\"404\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select file and it a dialog box prompts then click on Yes<\/li>\n<li>Click on the close button to complete process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are unable to receive mails after changing the default location of PST, then you can get it from the New folder that is created by outlook before migration.
